LOVE UNDER AN UMBRELLA

This screenplay takes place just before the last Gulf War when the
growing world-wide refugee population became a major issue.  I
wrote it in consultation with screenwriter Graham V. Rushton,
Iraqi poet Rammahi
(aka Abid Ali al-Afrawi al-Rammahi),
cinematographer Gaetano Nino Martinetti and Iraqi actor
Hayder
Al Shallal.

ANTONY JOHAE did his Ph.D. dissertation in Prague on Franz Kafka
and Dostojevsky. He became a lecturer at Kuwait University in the
English Department for a total of 18 years. While in Kuwait he also did
research on the Jewish community in the Arabian Gulf.  He has lectured
and written on the novelist Amin Maalouf.
